Cotswold Outdoor had grown from 13 stores in 2005 to over 60 stores in 2013 when oomph were engaged to transition their marketing programme from a product to a customer focus.
Applying the Oomph Insight Accelerator programme, extended for key workshops with the executive team, we developed an umbrella marketing plan and a research strategy.
The research was specifically to drive insight into acquisition and retention around customer 'need.states' that would drive more relevant and targeted messages to an ever-increasing customer base.
This approach informs all areas of the business, from strategy to buying and campaign execution. The acquisition of the Snow+Rock business with Runners Need and Cycle Surgery facia adds further complexity to the programme - and of course further opportunity to develop a clear leader position in the exciting Outdoor sector.
